Weev installs EV charging points at French’s Cafe and Bistro as part of network expansion

Leading Northern Ireland electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure company Weev has partnered with French’s Café and Bistro, Clough to provide new public charging stations at the venue.

The new chargers form part of the company’s £20 million investment in a new public EV charging network, which will see 1,500 new charging points installed over 350 locations across Northern Ireland before the end of 2024.

Chris Hanna, Sales Manager at Weev said:

“Our aim is to make EV charging more accessible than ever before by rolling out an EV charging network for drivers in Northern Ireland that is fit for purpose, maintained, and supported locally.

“EVs represent a new era for driving, and Weev is supporting Northern Ireland in its transition towards a greener, more sustainable motoring future.

“It is great to have the support of businesses such as French’s Café and Bistro, and we look forward to installing even more chargers at restaurants, hotels, shopping centres and other convenient and strategic locations across the region.”

French’s Cafe and Bistro is located in the village of Clough and has recently undergone extensive renovations to provide bistro facilities with menus to suit all tastes.

Paul French at French’s Cafe and Bistro added:

“At French’s Cafe and Bistro, we are proud to partner with Weev to install new charging points that will allow EV owners to avail of convenient charging during their time with us.

“As a responsible business we understand the importance of facilitating the expansion of a sustainable EV charging network. We look forward to welcoming many more EV motorists to our newly refurbished bistro and showcasing the very best that Clough has to offer.”
